I recently used the Screencast-O-Matic online program to create a video demonstrating how to use the Silhouette Cameo software. It was interesting to use the Screencast-O-Matic program. I never knew how easy was to record how to do something on the computer.

1st Cruise

A cruise is a perfect vacation. It was the most relaxing trip I have taken. After a short drive to Galveston, we got on the ship and started a week full of memories. Montego Bay was my least favorite port. It did not seem safe in Jamaica. Grand Cayman appeared to be a wealthy island. There we took a snorkeling excursion. The coral reefs were stunning. Cozumel was the most relaxing. We took a catamaran out to a private island. The beaches were beautiful at each of the three different ports. I can't wait till we take another cruise, but this time we will bring the kids along!

1st trip to Mexico

This is our vacation from 4 years ago. We did not have the chance to visit any craft markets during that trip.

Foreign Craft Markets

Last week, my husband and I were able to take a cruise for our 5th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed visiting Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. During our trip, we visited two craft markets. It was neat to see what some of the Grand Cayman natives could make from simple materials found on their small island. I bought my daughter a dress that was handmade. It also had hand sewn flowers and the words Grand Cayman beautifully added to it. In Cozumel, we had the opportunity to also look at some of the crafts made there. One of my favorites was a native who painted pictures on plates. It did not take him very long to create beautiful sceneries on the plates. Jamaica was the least advanced when it came to craft markets. The craft market at Montego Bay looked very ran down and scary, so we did not even stop.

My Favorite Hobby

As a mother to two small children, I often times do not have much time to focus on myself. I am not always able to find time to enjoy all of the hobbies that I like to do. Most of the hobbies I enjoy revolve around my family. One of my very favorite hobbies is to craft. I love to make hair bows and other accessories for my little girl. I have completed several projects that involve making crafts to improve the look of my home. I have made several items for each of my kids' rooms to make them more personalized. My most recent crafting adventure included making fabric covered picture frames.   I made 5 picture frames that match the pillows on my living room couches. One of my very favorite websites is Pinterest. It is full of craft ideas. It also makes it easy to find, collect, organize, and share future projects that I would like to complete. Sadly, I will have even less time to enjoy crafting because of the classes I chose to take this semester.
