Foreign Craft Markets

Last week, my husband and I were able to take a cruise for our 5th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed visiting Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. During our trip, we visited two craft markets. It was neat to see what some of the Grand Cayman natives could make from simple materials found on their small island. I bought my daughter a dress that was handmade. It also had hand sewn flowers and the words Grand Cayman beautifully added to it. In Cozumel, we had the opportunity to also look at some of the crafts made there. One of my favorites was a native who painted pictures on plates. It did not take him very long to create beautiful sceneries on the plates. Jamaica was the least advanced when it came to craft markets. The craft market at Montego Bay looked very ran down and scary, so we did not even stop.
